CDT M6 woofers , EX-480 Crossovers , DRT-25 Tweeters , And A pair of JBL 660GTI tweeters hooked up to the "image tweeter outputs on the X-overs?

Running each side off of a MTX RT-A260 , which is a pretty **** clean amp , does 165 RMS bridged @ 0.04%thd according to the mtx tech i contacted. had to call them because the amps are so **** old that they dont have any info on the website.

Recieveing the speakers this week and i will post pics when they are installed. i have no subs as of yet but i think these CDT's are gonna slap pretty hard for 6.5's. Should i build some FB enclosures for them or just run them IB in deadened doors?

The budget thing is because i will have 200 dollars tied up in all of this. LMAO!!!

IMO no need for a second pair of tweeters but go for it if you want. It'll just cause issues and the CDT "upstage" thing is just a gimmick to get you to spend more money IMO. Hopefully you're happy with it though.

oh you'll love the m6s I just got a pair and in well deadened doors they play down to 50hz like a champ

I would use those JBL tweeters vs the CDT tweeters as your main tweeter.

& if you want to use the image, you can use the CDT for the images.

CDT tweeters arent the smoothest sounding tweeter out there.

Those mid in a well deaden door should give you some really nice midbass

I dunno about the CDTs not being smooth... I got CDT tw25s and they are some of the smoothest tweeters I've heard, I love them myself, but each to their own with how something sounds right?

well. it doesnt matter what part of the crossover they hook to. the "image" terminals are wired parralel with the main tweets. like someone said earlier its just a gimmick from cdt. anybody can do it with regular crossovers.

I think you'll more than happy... I think alot of people just hate on CDT because of the price but if ya know where to buy it at I think its **** good stuff

well i'm getting it for a helacious price and have plenty of power on hand. subs are on hold till i get my old lady a car. i wanna take out or lift the seat for 4 SSA dcons and a single Zed leviathan to run the doors and subs.

LOL. i think it would take a serious noob to make 700 bucks worth of quality components sound like balls. i could see that comment if i said infinity kappas or some of the 60 dollar "wonder pg's" (rsd's)
