Infinity kappa vs Mb QUARTZ Onyx

I'm looking to upgrade my factory speakers to either infinity kappa or MB quartz Onyx. I'd rather not install a sub so I want something that will hit the lows pretty good(dont need anything earth shaking wise) but have good to great mids and hights.

My fronts speaker size is 6x8 and my rears are 6x9. budget wise id like to spend under $300 for all 4 speakers. I talked to someone and they mention polk audio mm line but when I looked up if the 6x9 would fit my car the website said no. I was wondering if there were any kit out there that would let me install 5x7/6x8 into the rear 6x9

Ok now that we have a budget what kind of vehicle do you have? Will these be on an amp or just off a radio. Is it a stock OEM radio or aftermarket?

Sorry I should've put all the info down. 2003 mazda protege sedan. I will be installing a pioneer deh-p6200bt. At first I will be running the 4 speakers of the pioneer but later will add an amp or if I can muster up some money now I will add the amp. Like I said when I went on polks site and went to outfit my car the only speakers that would fit were polk 6.5 db speakers. I'd rather have the mm line of polks thru out my car.

Do you have speakers in the rear doors or on the rear shelf? You have 6x8s in the front doors and 6.5s in the rear doors or 6x9s in the rear deck. After playing around with oval speakers I have decided I really do not care for them. In any case I would do 5 1/4s on plates on the front doors and 6.5s in either rear option. The Polk MMs are ok as are the Kappas. But I have really liked the Pioneer D series lately for a nice coax at a good price.

I would grab these.

Pioneer TS-D1602R 6-1/2" 2-way D-Series Car Speakers

Since those 6.5s are out of stock I am sure ya can fit these instead.

And pick up this amp High passed around 80hz.

MB Quart DSC 450

All under your $300 price tag. Plus in the future pick up a 8 or 10" sub and can can put all the speakers on front channels at 2 ohms and the rear bridged at 4ohms and not have to get another amp for a small amount of bass.

Honestly the Lanzar MAX subs are pretty nice for a cheap sub in a small sealed box with a not a ton of power.

Would work well for you and requires less then a .5 cube box. So build a small box buy the sub and you would have a nice little budget system not to much higher then your budget.

Ive got a used set of Rockford Fosgate P1694C's and loved them on HU power. Very clear and overall good sounding speakers. Im selling them thought to run a set of 6.5" components active up front.

You can head to a Mickey Shores, Best Buy, or any other mom and pop shop and demo some speakers. You wont find the ones I mentioned though since they are Rockfords first gen P1's.

Right now Second Skin has a promotion code cyasuckers. I use their Damp Pro and am very happy with it. I put 120sq ft in my Caliber throughout the trunk and all 4 doors and it definitely does its job.

what about mb quart pvi 216 and 269 i can get both for under $300 or cdt cl6cv and cdt cl69x for under $300.
