Hows my box plan sound?

Its gonna be 36x36 base then 12" deep and the port is gonna be 34.5"h x 4.5"w x 30"d its tuned about 39 hz... what do you think i'll had a picture design up in a bit.. Thanks for comments!

interesting port, how do you go about calculating tuning for that? mind letting us know who did the design? i thought you wanted to go sealed?

I still havent made of my mind between sealed and ported but this a design my friend put together and he said its about 37-39hz... you think it would be a good box?

i don't like the port design much, unless he has a good way to calculate the tuning. it looks to be somewhat of a guessing game.

unless you really want symmetry i'd move the port to the side of the box and make it l-shaped (and all the same width). then calculating the tuning will be easier.

also, i'd consider tuning a bit lower for daily listening, but you may want loud, that's up to you.
