How would you wire these up?

Please let me know how I should run these speakers and sub. Should I run the four sony speakers on the head unit and the tower speakers and sub of the amp? Should I buy another amp? Should I install all speakers on the amp?

I am so confused on what to do........ Thanks in advance for any advice you can give me.

Here is what I have to install on my boat.

Receiver: Sony CDXM60UI, 52W x 4 High Power -23.2 watts per channel continous average power into 4 Ohms.

Amplifier: Sony MX-604M, 4/3 Channel Amp, 600W max power, 60w x 4 RMS into 4 ohms, 70W x 4 RMS into 2 ohmsm 160W x 1 RMS into 4 ohms (rear), selectable 80 Hz HPF/LPF

Four in boat speakers: Sony XS-MP1620W, 45W RMS, 160 Watt Peak, 4 Ohms

Two tower speakers: Polk MM651, 100 W RMS, 200 Watt Peak, 2.7 Ohms

One subwoofer: Sony XS-L100P5M, 200 Watt rated, 800 W peak, 6 Ohms

Here's my 2 cents,

Connect your 4 speakers to the amplifier, two options;

1) one channel per speaker

2) Parallel 2 speakers; There are two options for this one;

a) Balance (Ex. Front Left + Rear Left = Channel 1) OR

b) Fade (Ex. Front Left + Front Right = Channel 1)

Either way you should get 2 ohms per channel and your left with two open

The open channels you can try to connect your 3ohm tower speakers, I wouldn't because your amp is only 2 or 4 ohm stable not 3. One could argue it falls within the amp parameters but if that were true then the specs would read 2-4.

Any Advance CA member disagree with me?

-Sub-woofer Options

Since the amp is neither bridgeable nor 6 ohm stable I would recommend;

1) Buy a 2 or 4 ohm sub-woofer (buy two one for each channel)

2) Buy 2 more identical sub-woofers so that you can connect in parallel and make the load 2 ohms ( so 3 woofers per channel)

3) Buy a different amp that is 6 ohm stable (THIS WILL BE A CHALLENGE)

Whatever you decide, have fun with it!!!
