How would one HDC3 15 sound compared to two Alpine Type X 12's?

I used to own two alpine type x 12's running off 2k watts (stock electrical, so im sure i wasn't gettin a full 2k). I'm wanting to get a hdc315, or maybe a Nightshade 15, and push it with a sundown 1500d. I am just wondering if either of these 15's would get anywhere near as loud as my type X's did.

what 2k watt amp were you running?

I've heard that the type x's sound like crap. But I mean, if all you really want is to just be loud, just get more shitty subs and throw them in your back seat.

I was using two mrd-m1005. and i'm not saying they were extremely loud or anything, its just the loudest system ive had. was just trying to get an idea of what the hdc3 would sound like.

a lvl4 wont take the power an hdc3 will and the lvl5 is too much.

Im not sure how much the 5 coil will take. How much extra is the lvl5 coil?

But going by what I've seen in 2 of my friends cars the stock lvl4 15 won't handle what a copper hdc3 15 will.

first of all yes it can take 1500rms. and if you add the lvl 5 coils itll def take it....

i never said it wouldnt take 1500rms, but in my experience it wont take the power an hdc3 will.

you should take a look into the new sundown z.2 15.... will take the power the aq will (and some more) and sound great, but if i had to choose between aq and alpine for sq the x's take it
