How would one cut a hole like this for a sub?

I have 3/4 MDF and I want to cut a hole that lowers the cub into the wood so it's just below flush with the wood. Is this possible ? I'm using a car's spare tire well for the air space and want to make this box a stealth box.

u cant do a flush mount with only 1 board... let alone 3/4

you need 2 pieces of wood, and make the top hole larger

Flush it in with a router, then make a trim panel over top of it.

you could use either a router or 2 separate sheets, thats a beautiful diagram, the colors are wonderful
