how well does a wall behind backseat in a suv work?

sub up port back still usually the best in a SUV?
If so how far away should the port be away from the back wall?

Also how do you keep the back hatch from rattling? Like the backglass and stuff. I know I could dynamat the bottom part but what about the backglass?
are you specifically talking about a blazer or an explorer?

port back and sub up has had the best results for me.. although if i recall correctly george has said before that Loyd L. has had better results other ways.

typically 3-6" away from the hatch...

I used some weatherstripping to get rid of my rattle in the hatch...
