To wire both subs, use a 2 channel amp. Hook the 8ohm to one channel, but connect the positive from the sub to the - on the amp, and the - on the sub to the + on the amp, thus creating a 4 ohm load. For the other, do the same thing, making it into a 4 ohm load. Ran a setup like this for a couple months, and it worked better than I expected. I liked the two different subs, made the bass more 'complete'
