How to wire 2 dual 2 ohm subwoofers down to 1 ohm?

Noob question probably but the internet failed to help me thus far.

I have 2 dual 2 ohm subwoofers, now i know that you can wire each of them down to 1 ohm, but my question is that is it possible to then wire the 2 subs and keep it at 1 ohm, as I have 1000 rms subwoofers, and my amp runs 1670 rms @ 1 ohm and 2600 at 0.5 ohm, and i dont' want to overpower the subs

Somone please help me out! thanks, 1 channel amp!
