How to test HU outside car?

Just bought a Sony CDX-GT650UI from an [online] outfit I've never done business with before. It's supposed to continue raining here the next 5 days and I don't have a garage. That said, I want to test the unit before I get a chance to install it so I'll know its not DOA.

I've read the documentation but cant find input info (ie DC voltage and amps). Does anyone know what the specs might be? I'm guessing it might be something like 12VDC, 500mA.

yep, that's what im using lol. you can lookup vids on youtube as to how to do it. i really dont feel like writing it out cause some of the stuff is specific..
