I'm 17 I paid for my car no help from my mom. All the gas and 250 dollars a mounth on insurance. From what I'm reading you didn't pay for that truck and the truck paid for your car. well then you need some hooked on phonix cuz i already stated that i bought the truck when i turned 16 then sold it and got the car, so i have the money sitting on 4 wheels right now.

just try to get em both, see if you can make payments on the new one n hide it at a friends house til your 18 or they give you the ok then sell your current car n pay off the rest n make some cash back off the deal to get a system, or in your case a radar detector (valentine 1, best one ever) but thats what i did was i bought a truck n drove it for a year when i was fifteen n had just gotten my permit lol

Wow, you started off with a nice new truck, *****ed, got a new grand am, *****, and now you want to get a camaro for the mileage factor? Do the math and figure out how many miles you will actually have to drive in order to pay for the monthly payments, increase in insurance, and the tickets you will get.

Then decide if you actually have a good enough job for it.

Better yet, don't get it because once you get into college, that money that you have will be gone.

geez! i wish my parents bought me an 03 grand am or nice truck at your age! i was driving an 88 ford tempo with 1 dead cyclendar that i got for free from my uncle. then i saved up $1800 and upgraded to a 92 ford taurus. thats livin.

I tried convinving my mom to let me get a sport bike... but she feels like I'll kill myself. Even if I pay for one I still can't, unless I move out. And even then she won't help me pay for my college.... so I'm still tryin to talk her into it.

And I drive a Grand Am and there pretty nice cars....

your best bet is to find some way that it will benefit your parents. let them know they can drive it every once in a while, too. i know my dad loves working on projects with me, so anytime i need or want something for my car i talk to him. he usually throws in a couple dollars and we get to work on it together.
