ok so i have been driving 2 years now, and have never had any kind of an accident, or even a ticket(dont know how i speed all the time). and all i have wanted since the beginning was a camaro , or a firebird at least a 99 or newer. well my parents where gonna get me one but we had a hard time finding one that hadnt had the piss ran out of it and was still in good shape, well i turned 16 and wanted to drive so i settled for a really nice Chevy truck. then the gas got to killing me because it only got 12 MPG, so i got a grand am....well the grand am fvcking sucks and i hate it so i ask my parents if i can sell it and look for the car i have always wanted well now they are saying its too dangerous and i dont need one.....wtf??? so how would you guys talk to your parents and get them to let you get it after not having any wrecks or tickets?

You think a Camaro will get good gas mileage? And maybe you haven't gotten a ticket yet because you're not driving a type of car that gets pulled over often. I was a stupid teenager just like everyone else at one point and have never gotten a ticket. I drive a Nissan Sentra. My friend on the other hand is about 10x more cautious than me when it comes to driving, but he's got tickets falling out of his *** for stupid little shit. He drives a Mustang.

exactly, its all in the profiling of your car, my frst car was a 86 monte carlo all souped up, i loved it but got me in more trouble with the law in the 1 year i had than the 5 years total ive been driving my accord

well i see your point, but i think the V8 LT1 will get around 22 on the hw right? my grand am is only getting 26 or 7 HW. oh and about the tickets i can pay for those as i have a pretty well paying job, but that is a very good point about the type of car and all, but i really want one of these cars.//content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/crap.gif.7f4dd41e3e9b23fbd170a1ee6f65cecc.gif

It is the god honest truth too. I've driven past cops going 15mph over before. My friend, on that exact same road, exact time of day can't go over 5mph without getting hassled.

If you have a very well paying job then buy the car yourself. Besides, I bet your parents pay your insurance and I'm sure they will appreciate the raised premiums because you want to speed.
