How To Solve the Turn-Off Pop

Okay ya'll, I have installed my new setup in the sig, and I have no complaints in terms of output. However, I do have an annoying noise with the 1200d amp (not the 3002).

The noise occurs when the deck is powered off, deck is on and the car is turned off, when the volume is turned down to 0, and when the cd changes tracks.

I have checked the RCA's, swapped RCA's between the 1200d and the 3002, I even rewired the remote to the car's ignition and I even tried the battery wire with a switch. Oh, and I have a relay already to turn on my amps. Yes, I even tried it without the relay. Also, I swapped grounds between the two amps as well.

Nothing seems to work. BTW, I have no hissing noise or alternator whine whatsoever.

So, I came to the conclusion that the amp is the culprit and I imagine that the 1200d doesn't have a muting turn-off feature. I don't know if that's true or not. Seems to be though.

Now, would a relay that turns off the amps be a solution? How about this one, Stinger SPSOFF?

Please give me some advice. This does get irritating... there's nothing like 140+db when your amps turn off! //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/eek.gif.771b7a90cf45cabdc554ff1121c21c4a.gif

your amp is a class D amp which will have a turn on off pop everytime you start your car or turn to ACC. It will never go away, you'll always have it. IF you hate it, get a new amp with a silent turn on. Deal with it.

That couldnt be any further from the truth. But ok..I guess.

Okay, then how come the old MMATS D300HC did it as well that I had? However, the DEI 2400d, Kicker KX1200.1 (both of them), nor the Rockford Fosgate Power 1000Bd amps didn't make this pop!

I am going to check the grounds again though just to make sure once I get home before ordering that Stinger item.....

I had the same problem....Tried everything.....Bought new HU...Problem solved..I changed the HU cause I wanted an MP3 player not cause it was faulty....But nevertheless it went away....the thing about CLASS D amp...cannot be true....I've always had CLASS D amps only happened once.....It was not cause the amp was CLASS D...

Do you have another HU that you can install to see if the noise goes away?
This should be tried. I had popping sounds using my Eclipse cd8443, but none before with the exact same setup and an Eclipse cd5442. I had a turn-on pop. Ironically, I had the Stinger pop stopper installed and my pop went from an ON pop to an OFF pop.
