Hey guys I have my setup with my subs firing forward and Im loosing a ton of bass into the trunk.. I was wondering if I use a couple layers of sound deadner on my rear deck and on the sides of the box if that will be enough to seal it off... Or do I need to use wood and expanding foam??/ I will use the foam around the enclosure to seal it off around the edges... Any advice will be greatly appreciated... Pics of some setups would be great

I usually just stuff a bunch of cheap hookers in the back...

But, BTW, you just have to seal it off the air, I believe. So, just a piece of wood and some weather stripping should work IIRC.

This is a very nice trunk seal off with a pair of mj18's ina mazda. i think it was 9 cubes. Hope it helps.

Btw i also want to do something like that but dont know any box builders that are good around here, and my trunk to cabin opening is really gay.//content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/crap.gif.7f4dd41e3e9b23fbd170a1ee6f65cecc.gif
Hit up MLStrass. Hes great.

it would probably have to be built in the trunk and i dont have the time, Or tools to do that. I would want enough space for 2 15's comfortably so maybe 8 cubes net with the aeros poming through the rear deck speaker locations also. Sealed trunk is ***, but a ***** to get going. How can u complain about tons of space and still having an free interior? i want a sealed trunk setup!

So if anyone in the Charleston ,SC area is up to the task and know what their doing LMK...

what type of car ?

Some time you will loose bass by restricting the air movement (even the air in the trunk)

What you really need is the correct enclosure set up for your vehicle and subs

Trunk seal full of 8 ga to start. Works wonder, but it can make the trunk a little harder to close, and I've even had to lower the tension on some trunk decks because of the extra 'pop' it creates.

You should just wall your shiet bro! ha ha j/k! I am also interested in what anyone has to say about this. I also want to seal my trunk off eventualy.
