because they do not get as loud as the stock speakers. I believe my HU gives 10 watts per channel. If I add a 70x4 rms amp will I notice a huge difference? Here are the front speakers specs:
JBL GTO 607c:
Speaker Size 6-1/2"
Design 2-way Component System
Tweeter Design 1" Dome
Tweeter Composition Mylar / Titanium
Woofer Composition Polypropylene
Woofer Surround Rubber
Peak Power Handling 210 watts
RMS Power Handling 70 watts
Sensitivity 92 dB
Frequency Response 55 - 21000 Hz
Impedance 2 ohms
Top Mount Depth 2-1/16"
Bottom-mount depth N/A
Cutout Dimensions 5-1/16"
Warranty 1-year Sonic Electronix
I talked a guy with them and he says he amped them and noticed little change with the same car and HU as me. I dont know how that can be going from 10 watt RMS to 70 watt rms. Shouldnt they get louder and have less distortion and better bass? Let me know if its worth the money to add a 4 channel amp. Thanks!
Edit: Could the other person I talked to installed them wrong and thats why he didnt have a big change? I was told it should be night and day difference from stock HU to an amp.
