How to know which side is + and which side is - for speaker wires behind the headunit

You just run the speaker wire from your amp to the speaker. To get access you have to take the kick panels off, maybe find a regular screwdriver and pry the rubber boot lip out from the door jam. Then you run the speaker wires through that boot and right to your speaker. Youd have a lot more room to expand to sending more power to your mids in the future. Plus the stock speaker wires are pathetic
I'm gonna go try to do this because I'm pretty sure that 2 of my speakers are wired up incorrectly lol. So will there be wires coming out of the boot (is that the name for the wire tunnel that connects the door to the car?) or do I need to feed the wires through it, take the door panel off, pull the speaker out and hook it up that way?

Are they stock speakers? have you taken the door panels off before?

The little rubber "wire tunnel" has the stock speaker wire going to the mid. If you run YOUR speaker wires through that tunnel, hook them up directly to the speaker. Then the stock speaker wire will be hooked up to nothing.

If you really arent sending much power to the mids then leave it how it is and then just double check the phasing with that video I posted

I'm running about 60 watts to my speakers. They are all upgraded speakers, but I had them upgraded professionally a year ago and didn't learn anything about how to take the door off or wire directly to the speakers.

So are you saying that I can hook up directly to the speakers without any wiring extensions without taking off the panel?

type in what type of car u have say a 1999 mustang door panel removal into youtube and I am willing to bet they have a vid of someone doing this on ur car
So to wire up my speakers i WILL need to take the panel off, correct?

So I can figure out how to get the speaker wires through the boot in the front 2 doors (the opening to the boot is open inside the car under the dashboard) however the boot entrance to the back two doors is blocked by the car, the part of the car that is blocking it may be able to pop off but it's definitely not coming off easily. Does anybody have any experience doing this? Will I likely mess up the part or it's clips by doing this?
