Bolt it down for the best safety reasons. Don't want a subwoofer box in your face if you get in a wreck.

I've also seen Velcro. Seems to actually work ok. Saw it used on a battery. That sucker wouldn't budge. Was adhered via 3 out of 6 surfaces though. Probably won't help during accidents. But should do the trick for turning/speed bumps.

L brackets, velcro, or even wedging it tight with wood..or something.

cutt at least 4 inch wide braces to lay from base of box and wedge to edge of the trunk. I have my box pushed to the front of the trunk and one brace from the edge of the box to the back back of the trunk.. if that makes sense
