how to install aftermarket head unit in a 2001 grand prix

My moms factory cd player stopped working yesterday in her 2001 Grand Prix SE. I have never seen a wiring harness kit at walmart for her car. Is there a way to wire a aftermarket cd player up to it without buying a $100+ kit?

For the kit or the harness? it shouldnt be that much for either of them. Are you asking how to wire it or get it to fit without a kit?>

it was $100 for just the wiring harness. No install or anything just the wiring harness.

if it has bose you'll need a different harness, if you didnt **** at asking questions you could get them answered alot easier

It's probably includes the adaptor for the steering wheel controls. I'm pretty sure that that car has them anyway.

you should have the boss system in that car, so you will just need to bypass her factory amp and honestly your best best is just to go to a stereo shop and somebody make you a harness after hours, i will make you one if you like, where do you live? i can mail it
