I like Julio.

Ahh yes the big three I really need that to power the little 300.1 that system running 2 fosgate p1 10s. System already has 4 ga to the cap and 6 ga to the amp. I shouldnt need big three to run a 300.

Factory ground on most cars is a very weak piece of #8. I've had cars that had dimming issues with the heat on trying to roll up power windows. Think about, a car manufacturer buys 100 miles of copper wire for their fleet, I promise they are using the absolute smallest gauge they can get away with to power most of the accessories at once.... the savings on the scale they buy in would be significant for them to.

Upgrading at least the factory ground is a good idea.

Good idea yes needed in my case no as stated I have 4 ga power and ground to frame. Im not saying this wouldnt b benificial to anyone running more power but come on big three on 300 really guys. Theres shops that would put it on 8 ga.

Now that everybody is done hitting each other with sticks... maybe somebody could help the original poster out ?

Interesting read though //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/smile.gif.1ebc41e1811405b213edfc4622c41e27.gif

I know right!! Lmao... I tell him how to hook it up correctly...

When you get it, slam it on the pavement bout 6-8 times.. The thrown it in the trash closest to you!!

:)

Imo, you need a 12v+ distro block with (3) 4ga. Terminals. One terminal for your main positive feed from the battery, one terminal for the capacitor positive, and the last terminal to feed the amplifier.

Same could be said for the ground, but a simple length of 4ga. Between the cap and your amplifier grounding point will suffice.

(That wasnt so hard to explain, was it?)

My system in my sig runs 1200 rms without big three or cap. The other setup is on a 70 amp alt. Let me guess now I need an ho alt to go with the big three just to run a little bazooka ela 300.1.really its been running this way three years im not changin it now.
