how to get better lows....

well, So I guess I will tune it to 30 htz, and try to make it as big *** I can. Should hold me over until I get my new suv for grad. Then it will be time for my new systme.....either 4 15"s or 6 12"s....or 2 18"s....

quick idea, buy some pollyfill and put it in the enclouser you allready since pollyfill will make the box seem bigger to the sub you might gain some low end, i wouldn't except major gains but hey its worth a shot.

actually, I think that I just found out that there is no possible way that my box is tuned to 34 htz....cause the first bass hit in throw it up is 48 htz...and that is the one I am peaking at......

nope, all the way down....gains at 1/4, bass boost on amp all the way down, subwoofer level on the h/u all the way up, bass level on the h/u all the way down...subsonic all the way down on amp....

you can still peak higher than your box is tuned. vehicle makes a big diff, as well as sub in my case. my audiobahn wont hit lows no matter what i do. i have had it in so many boxes , tuned low, high, sealed, it still wont hit anything below 35hz with authority. but you should have no sub problem. pics of the install?

Not necessarily. The car's F/R is going to have an affect on where you actually peak at. Tuned at 30 in a perfect world you'd end up peaking at 34ish. However, if your car has a resonance frequency of 40hz you might end up being louder there. The 40hz might be on the upper end of your frequency boost gained by the ported enclosure.

try turning your bass on the hu up any on the eq? try 0db across.

well from the looks of it, you cant really move it around in your trunk to see if placement helps or not. i know in my friends intrepid he had almost no low end at all. moved his box about 1 ft ahead, and magically he had crazy bass. that doesn't help you though. i would suggest try a sealed box perhaps. than you could go large, but smaller than you have and get some mad lows. the loss of output may not suit you though.

well, the output is plenty, I would sacrfice some for the lows. Plus the guy just told me that the box is tuned close to around 30....so I have no idea why its not killing the lows....
