how to disconnect a cap

All you need to do is break the circuit back to the battery. You could leave the ground in and run the light parallel to that.

But the cap needs to be seperate from the charging system.

yes completly disconnect the cap first. Then discharge.

can I discharge mine by taking the fuse out from under the hood, and running my amps until it is dead?

I have a tsunami cap how would I discharge it? I didnt have to use a key or anything to charge it. When I get my new amp do I have to discharge it when I hook it up to the cap?

I did but mine didnt come with a bulb or anything so I dont know how to do it.

So get a 12VDC bulb with leads on it?
