How to carpet a box?

I am looking for an instructional of how to carpet a box.. I need help with easiest way to skip over the ports and everything.. I am completely clueless on the topic.. I have carpet and some good carpet glue and am just clueless on how to do it so if someone could point me in a direction to where I could learn that would be wonderful!

you don't carpet the ports...

Treat the ports the same way you treat the sub opening and terminal opening. Just cut it all flush, pain the port, and be sure to glue down the carpet around the port really well. Thats how i did mine, and i never had a problem.

^^ Lol I know I do not carpet the ports.. I am just wondering the easiest way to cover the box and the cut the ports.. I also need to go out and buy a good knife probably.. I dont have a good sharp one that will be easy.. The sides are probably going to be difficult for me ..
