How to adjust sub output on Eclipse 8455?

Eclipse said it is impossible in pro mode. I said that seems insane and they said buy another deck and hung up on me. Assholes.

So I will ask her. I want to be in pro mode obviously.... Is there no way to change sub output? Do I have to go to normal mode and change and then back to pro mode?

hahaha. eclipse service is whack. they don't know what they are talking about. i tried asking them about the eiserv program and they had no clue what they were talking about.

you can adjust the output of the sub in pro mode (the only mode i used when i had it). you just have to go to the t/a menu and adjust it yourself. go to the t/a menu, then go to the sub L and R and then you can just adjust it from 0db to -30db then infinity which turns off the speaker. you can actually do this with each speaker on the t/a menu.

Eclipse as never been anything but helpful when ive called to ask questions. of course my questions also could not be answered by reading the owners manual either.

When in 'normal' mode, make sure you set the sub level all the way up.

When in 'advanced/pro' mode, just use the T/A menu as Pete described. It is actually easier than you think once you become familiar with navigating the menus.

Once you have your system set up you probably won't need to make any adjustments. You also have the option of using the preset EQ memory to go to a more bass boosted sound. The benefit of doing it that way is to use the PEQ to adjust the specific freqencies you want to boost and the realative Q around them. This is superior to just boosting the sub level generically.
