How stable @ 1 ohm?

I am about to run my lanzar opti 2000d @ 1 ohm for the first time.

Ive got a kicker 06S15L74 running off it @ 2ohms with a 60A agu fuse inline. The amp never heats up and is stable.

Ive bought a 2nd kicker 06S15L74 and want to hook it up to the amp. That would result in a 1 ohm load on the amp. I just want to know if anyone has run the lanzar @ 1 ohm with any negative outcome or complications?

Lanzar claim 1600wrms @ 1.3ohms so im guessing about 1700-1800wrms @ 1 ohm should be enough for the 2 kickers in sealed boxes?

Also, will an 80A agu fuse suffice?

Any help appreciated all.

Thanks for that.

What size fuse would you suggest? 100A?

Whats the worst that can happen with a fuse thats too small other than the fuse blowing? would i face damage to the subs or the amp itself?

If its just the fuse blowing in a worse case scenario, then id be cautious and let the fuse blow than to put a fuse thats too large, frying the amp.

Does that make sense? it kind of does in my head...

you wont fry the amp as it has onboard fuses. your inline fuse is to protect your wire. im assuming your running 4 guage with a fuse that low, step up to 1/0 guage with a 200 amp fuse, and use reducers for your amp to accomadate the wire. but worse case scenario is your fuse blowing

No amp damage?! excellent.

At the momet, im running a 1/0 guage cable with a 200amp anl inline fuse all the way the a fused distribution block. two 60 amp fuses, one for each amp with a 4 guage to a 4ch. amp and 4 guage also to the mono block amp.

Im planning to keep the 4 ch. with a 60amp fuse at the dist.block and putting a 80/120amp fuse for the mono.

My opti is running @ 1 ohm. It will certainly produce 1600w clean power.
You might want to add another battery if you are planning on running it to it's full potential.
I think i would be happy with 1600wrms. 800wrms to each 15inch will sound awesome, especially when i make my ported enclosures in a couple of months.

What rating is your inline fuse?
