How should I wire my batteries?

I'm planning to upgrade my stock alternator to a 165amp alternator in my 99 Honda Accord. I will be putting a new Kinetik Hc1400 under the hood and also have a spare brand new Kinetik HC800 that I'm planning to put in the back. How should I wire the batteries?

Have an Orion 1200d amp that does 1200rms and a mtx thunder that does 200rms.

Also have another question while I'm at it. What do I need to buy to upgrade all my wires from alternator to new Kinetik hc1400 battery? I currently have 0 and 4 gauge wires, but no terminals or battery posts. Wal-mart carries Everlast 2 gauge top battery posts, but I don't know if they're what I need. I'm planning to buy everything that I need and have my mechanic install everything including the alternator.

You'll need atleast 1 run of 1/0 AWG from Bat + to bat +. Two inline fuse holders 18" from each battery. [ //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/frown.gif.a3531fa0534503350665a1e957861287.gif Hope this dont interfere with our deal.] You'll also need Either KNU 1/0 battery terminal's, Or you can cheap out and get Marine style terminal's from autozone [$3 for two i think] And a few 1/0 crimp's.

Then you'll ground your rear battery to the frame, And if ur noticing too big of voltage drops at rear batt you can run a 1/0 ground from batt to batt

With two battery's, You'll need one within 18" of both battery's. If your wire is smashed, and shorted out, It will blow the fuse, But both sides of the fuse will still be Live due to there being a battery on each end.

If all you had was an Amp in the back, You'd be good because its connected to an amp, And not a 12v source.
