how safe is your trunk?

I just put my system in a week ago and was already to worried about theivin *** people. I live in a bad neighborhood and where every one jacks every ones system so i figured i wasent going to let them get mine. I thought of an idea to secure my trunk and did so today. i got a 2 way hook adjustable thats so i could put tension and change the length of the rod for a secure fit and welded that to a bar the bar is welded to a trailor hitch lock and the lock hooks on to the end of the bar. The hook is hooked to the very roof of my trunk. the other end is secured in a tab of angle iron with a hole drilled through it with the lock on the other side.I drilled a hole as big as the pipe threw the floor of my trunk. putting the lock just below my trailor hitch. So instead of having just 1 trunk lock that some 1 can pop with a screw driver, I have 2 locks and i am very happy with it knowing no one will get my stuff. My head unit is bolted in by a cable and bolted to a secure spot under my dash the cable is like 3 foot long so they would never find it. What have you did to secure your system?

least it sounds better than my car.//content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/yumyum.gif.0556df42231b304b9c995aefd13928a8.gif but all it would take is a piece of porcelin ?sp? and bumping right past the right guy and it could be gone in seconds.

The head unit would not be that hard to get out of my dash, to tell the truth. My front components really wouldn't be that hard to get out of my front doors, either.

Everything in my back dash has to be accessed from in the trunk. My amps and sub box are bolted down inside the trunk.

The car itself is currently sitting in a mini-storage unit along with everything else I own. If you can manage to get into the storage facility unnoticed by the manager (who lives there) and then get past the dogs that roam freely after hours and then first find then break into my particular storage unit and get past my alarm without waking up the dead I reckon you deserve my audio gear more than I do right now.

Although it would be very, very depressing to roll up the door on my ministorage once I get back and find that my car had been vandalized while I was overseas...

I have a single cab truck...but my boxes are bolted through the floor with the nuts on the inside of the box, Amp is mounted through the floor with Sheet metal screws/

where did you get your sheet metal screws? is there a certain type or driver used for it?
