How overrated is Stax 5500 1d?

I Could get a pretty good deal on this amp and was wondering if anyone has any experience with it? I doubt it comes close to claims of 3200 ram at 1 ohm but Does it put down anything decent?

look at the 4 ohm rating and take off a few hundred, thats your real 1 ohm rating.

Looks like people are arguing about 2k or not 2k. So whether it's 18 or 22 probably depends a lot on what you're powering it with. Saw one guy claiming ~2500 measured -- true or not, you'd have to be running 15-16v.
