18 , i worked since i was about 14 for a guy in the summer and after school , just could never sit my azz in one spot ,had to be doing something!!! And love making $, Left to chicago and right into a carpenter apprenticeship , and have been on my own since , just wanted to go out and start my own life!!! Just have to roll the dice sometimes and hope it works out !! good luck !!

They sent me off to college at 18. That wasn't working out and my mom had ridiculous expectations since if she didn't give me money I wouldn't be able to pay rent or tuition. I said **** that, quit school, and worked full time. This was right around my 20th birthday.

My dad was a drunk asshole. Came home one night from the bar and we got into a fight. Last thing he said to me was get the fuck out of my house. Next day I left for a few hours and came home with a signed lease for an apartment and never went back.

Moved away for college, then came back, the moved away again for college...parents were paying my way though. I wasn't gone and completely financially on my own until I was 22 after I dropped out of college. My parents are awesome though, never had a single issue with them...typical suburban family that ate dinner together every night at the dinner table. I still work with my dad every day, we're best friends.

im 20 still at home but the way **** is these days saving up money paying bills and going to school is ******* me over. the only reason i dont have an issue with my parents is that they havent paid for anything of mine since i was 15. plus im pretty cool with my parents for the most part. hell i even buy my dad and i some beers to watch football.
