How much total AMPs is this?

Im going to hook it up to my two 2ohm Kicker Comp VR... It says 500 watts RMS x 1 at 4 ohms 900 watts RMS x 1 at 2 ohms

I dont know what all that means so how much total amp is there?

It says 1600 total watts on the picture but how did they get that? and will it give me kicker compvr 1600 watt a peice..sorry 4being such a dumbass.

never use the "MAX" rating that is not an accurate rating. Always use the RMS rating it is more accurate and close to what most amps put out. I doubt it even puts out that power, personily i would stay as far away as Sony as posible. There price is cheap and so is there quality, for once with sony you get what you buy.many other amps out there that would power your kickers much better.

So each kicker (12in2ohm) would get 900 watts rms?

Is there an amp out there for the same price thats give out the same for better quality?

well seeing as its a sony a.... Maybe 800watts u'll see. SOny blows man... if u looking for a good amp look into Hifonics, US Acoutics, Viper(look on ebay), Crossfire. Alot more man.. do searching dont go buy sony, unless u really believe there good. Depends if you got a 2 ohm model yes. The amount of power given from the amp depend on the ohm of the sub.

Ex:

a DVC 4 ohm sub can draw a 2 ohm current or a 8 ohm current from the amp. you want an amp that can do around 800w RMS. If you get the 4 ohm DVC you want an amp that can do 800w RMS at 1 ohm or 4 ohm, or the 2 ohm DVC you want an amp that can do 800w RMS at 2 ohm or at 8 ohm.
