How much RMS can a 15" Type R really handle?

I gave mine 1400rms daily took it well, suprisingly well. Then i cranked the gain to see how long it would last, lasted to long so i gave it ye ole wall socket
Beastly lil bastard it is and it can take one hell of a beatin

zack1442 ran a 2200d on a single r 15 with no problems as long as he didnt really beat on it for too long.

ya mazdakid is right, i seen it, i ran a 12 off a aq2200 @ 2ohm tho, but it handled it just fine but once the clippin indicator stopped blinkin n went solid then ud start smellin it real fast, i had the older version RE SR at 2 ohms n thats a 300 watt sub n i did the same thing but had the clippin indicator past wen it first started to b solid n it handled it way better than the R, sounded better n hit harder than the R, took 10 mins of straight lows wit the gain all the way up for me to start smellin the sr

Don't be dumb with the gain all the way up and clipping light solid and it will take some power.

Makes no sense. Clipping will cook your sub, not a healthy signal...

OP obviously wants some Hifonics brz bullshit amp not a higher quality amplifier so recomend him something to his non-comprehensive ***.

i dont want to have to wait around for a amp to come up on a forum so i can buy it. or have to worry that somebody might buy the one i want. cause i dont have the money right now. i want to buy one from an online store.
