how much power should i go up to?

if you're truly giving them 600w each there is really nothing to gain by giving them more power. IF you could hear a difference it would be minimal.

A better box COULD make a big difference depending on what they're in now.

I don't see much improvement with a bigger box either. You could probably tweak it for a minimal SQ gain, but your box specs sound pretty good, and you're getting them enough power.

Could you improve it? Probably. But not significantly.

I would say you're getting about as much as you're going to get out of those.

ok cool that is what i thought. seems like alot of people around are giving them like 750-1000 per sub

I'm not saying don't try, but to expect a drastic improvement would be unrealistic IMO. I think the most significant change would be the temperature of your voice coils and the increased odds of damaging the subs.

Oh, there will be a gain:) But, the lifespan of that gain quickly shortens as more power is added:laugh:

You could always work towards upgrading and go for a bigger amp. Put your subs in series for a 4 ohm load and get an amp that puts out 1000 watts rms at 4 ohms. The SPL difference in losing 100 watts to each sub would be minimal. Then down the road upgrade your subs and wire back to a 1 ohm load for more POWA!
