I don't think you "gave" it to him if he probally paid for it.

Must be nice to not have to work for anything. I wish my parents were rich..

And why are you spending so much money on car audio for vehicles you can't drive without an adult? //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/wow.gif.23d729408e9177caa2a0ed6a2ba6588e.gif

So far I've got $10 into the system in my sig. Seriously. Even though I know it's shitty, its still worth more than the $10 I've put into it, which was only for the screws and blade for the box.

Although in 4 Weeks when I'm done paying off the Jeep, and actually have a full paycheck to spend on it... I'll have about $400 into it (new HU and components)

EDIT: Oh, and the $15 I spent on carpeting for the box.

My setup in sig around $2.5k, maybe less as I shop around for the best deals, mix & match stuff, and bought both subs used. And ZERO for install charges //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/biggrin.gif.d71a5d36fcbab170f2364c9f2e3946cb.gif

GF's car will be about $1k once I get the Crystal comps installed. I spoil her, but it pays great dividends //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/naughty.gif.94359f346c0f1259df8038d60b41863e.gif

For my car-

Alpine 9855 - $175?

Aura MR62 - $145

IDQ10 w/ box - $140

Wire - $60

Kicker 800.4 - $135?

I've had 1,500+ systems but the one above will probably sound better

The wifes in the sig is ~$500 and it really kicks ***... Aura MR52's running of a Zapco and the JL10w4 running off an audio art amp... mmmmm

2012 Graduation Present to myself for college: Brand New Chevy Camaro.

I just bought a used 03 VW GTi back in april and still have been trying to get used to having a car payment (first car on my own) and i sold all my stuff from the last car (97 4 dr cavalier) to help make a down payment on the new whip... my first system probably cost me about $1500 bucks (2 10" Memphis M3s, Memphis MCD-1000, 4 gauge Memphis wiring kit, Pioneer headunit [don' t remember model], set of Memphis PR 6.5, new battery, the MCD-1000 was later replaced by a Hifonics Bxi2007D)

i'm actually heading up to my stereo shop of choice (Stereo West Auto Toys, Omaha NE, 2006 Mobile Electronics Magazine Retailer of the Year) to get pricing on my new set up that i'll be purchasing hopefully in the next week or so...looks like it'll be around $3700 before wiring, sound deadning, and fabrication for a FG enclosure

but it'll be doe boy fresh //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/yumyum.gif.0556df42231b304b9c995aefd13928a8.gif

well, not a lot, as its a small system, but lets see

HU>stock $0

Front speakers>stock $0

Subs>2 Resonant Engineering RE8's in 1.5cube box tuned to 35hz, $175 for all

Amp>Jensen XA2250 , shipped to me for free $0

New amp coming soon to replace POS Jensen>PG X400.1 $135

4gauge wiring kit>$45

all installation done by myself>$0

grand total $355

and metered at 131db on dash @40hz, and 133.3db in kick @49hz

not the best , not the loudest, but I'm very happy with it

wooops better add on Weatherstripping around the trunk and under the license plate, whatever thats gonna cost, to stop the vibration noise, but I haven't done that yet
