How many watts should I put to 2 12" apline type r's in a sealed box??

Its going to be my daily driver and I want it to be LOUD

If you want it loud, port it. 1500 for the 2 will be plenty.

I cant have the box ported it wont fit in the hatch. It barely fits in there as is

I want it to be loud more than anything but I have to deal with the tight space.

Honestly yes. As long as it is done correctly. that one should be louder then two sealed. One thing people have to break from their mind. cone area don't mean crap . ported can belt lows even with small subs. Now I will admit it will become more peaky depending on how massive you make the enclosure. That is when you get into bandpass. You can make a single 10 with 400 watts sound like a pair of sealed 15's with 1500 watts. but pretty complex to do correctly. personally I like the 6th order para's. Not much more efficient then a ported of the same size. But Is very flat. Plays almost anything at full volume. Now 6th orders can be louder but takes a VERY large scale. I would go with the single 12 personally. Get same output and be more impressive from one 12
