hello everyone ive been working on buying a new stereo for a while now and finally have only 1 thing left to buy:) which is my amplifier for my highs and mids the amp iam pushing my kicker L7's with is a alpine mrd m1005 which is 1000rms now my question is this i have 5 1/4's in my front door and 6 1/2's in my rear deck. my question is can i buy another amp that is 75rms x4 will that be enought to fill in the sound coming from 1000rms of subwoofers?

wattage is only one factor playing into how loud a subwoofer will get.

Also, our ears are much more sensetive to mid rang and high range than low 'bass' range. This means that it takes much more acoustical energy for it to seem as loud. You may have 120dB bass peaks but only 110dB vocal peaks and they will seem equally intense.

also, mids and tweeters are generally much more efficent in their range than a subwoofer is in its.

And one last thing to confuse you, it is best to have overhead (power wise), especially with mids and tweeters.

thanks for the tips guys.. but im new to all of this and not quite sure what you mean . so if you can break it down a little more id appreciate it . it would be a big help //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/smile.gif.1ebc41e1811405b213edfc4622c41e27.gif :) //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/smile.gif.1ebc41e1811405b213edfc4622c41e27.gif
