I dont have a set budget, I will spend what I feel I need to to get the sound I want. I plan to purchase the stuff I need in 2 to 3 steps. Less is better, but I dont want crap. Right now I have a $1000+ I plan to spend on the HU, components, coaxs and maybe the 4 channel amp. Then I will purchase the sub, sub amp and get a custom built enclosure later. My wife wont see the total bill that waywhats you budget is the real question
I have been looking at CDT Audio, Image Dynamics, Focal, RE Audio and been doing some research on Rainbow. For coaxs? - I will find a decent set to complement the components I get, they just need to be in there for when the sub is out or I have rear passengers. I plan on visiting some stereo shops this weekend and listening to all the sets I can from $$$$ to $$, to determine what I need and if I need to spend $$$$ or $$ to get the sound I want.eh just get some really really good components.
I really like the ED NINe.5 and the Memphis Belle amps, but I am looking for stealth, I need to fold my rear seat down at times to use the cargo area and I would have no other place to mount the amp. The two PDX amps will each fit under the front seats.Based on what you stated the amps and their power output that you are looking at would be more than enough for what you want. You could even save space and money by purchasing a single 5 channel amp to run the entire system.....Sub wise there are just too many to choose from. The entry level 12" of any of the "forum boners" should work just fine for your needs.......//content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/biggrin.gif.d71a5d36fcbab170f2364c9f2e3946cb.gif![]()
What do you guys suggest I look at in the sub department?
Here is what I want: ( I will send 500-600 watts RMS to it)
- 12"
- Smallest Enclosure I can get built? I will probably look for a builder from one of the forums I have been checking out.
- No budget - but I dont need a $1000 competition sub
I was considering an Alpine Type R?
Thanks,
