How many Tweeters?

Hey guys, I decided to go ahead with 3 Memphis 15's, in my durango. How many tweeters do ya'll think I should install to be able to hear the song over the 3 15's? I'm thinking about some good Alpine door speakers, and about 3 tweeters?

the number of tweeters you have should at least match the number of midrange driver you have and crossovers.

Get a nice set of component Speakers, and a decent amp to run them.

actually u should get a good set of speakers and alot of amp, you are going to have to turn up your radio loouder to be able to hear over your subs, the louder the radio with no amp, the more distortion you will have. You need alot of amp on those nmids and highs.

you do not need ALOT of amp......if you put 100 true watts on a good set of comps you would fuggin amazed at how loud it is.

Not true. Boston Z6's are what I would call "nice comps" //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/smile.gif.1ebc41e1811405b213edfc4622c41e27.gif but they're power hungry by design...whereas I've seen really low-powered sets that sound like ***.

But generally, 50W is plenty if proper attention is paid to imaging. More can be useful, though //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/wink.gif.608e3ea05f1a9f98611af0861652f8fb.gif

Or use a nice 3 way comp set up front, which will help blend in the music and ensure a great front stage sound...

bottomline, get a nice set of comps power them with a nice amp and you'll be fine....oh and you might need a crossover which I got for sale!
