How many hz to tune a 15" JL w6

How many hz would you tune a single 15" JL w6 with a 3.15 cubic foot enclosure. I got 46.25 square inches with the port size of 13.5x3.5 but i just need to know how many hertz to tune it to to calculate the port length. I NEED HELP!!!

tune to around 32-34. you'll love it.

i tried those dimensions, and it's longer than my box actually is, how would 36hz sound? i want loud deep bass

40+hz is what alot of spl competitors use (just for a reference).

also, if your length is longer than the box, then you can make the port wind thru the box instead of just one long board.

no. alot of ppl will use subs back (firing to the taillights) port side for spl purposes. it's just what sounds louder in your car.

alright, so what would be louder, the 15 at 32hz or 40hz with my specs?

alot of ppl seem to really like 32-34hz. if it's ported, tuning low will be good. i'm no box building expert but i do know some (or at least think i do). if i'm wrong i'm sure someone will post too.

btw, how big is your box?

its 15"-height, 32"-width, and 28"-depth with a divider down the middle with 2 ports. it gives me about 6.3 cubic feet so divide that in 2 it is 3.15 cubic feet. should i just make one big port with no divider? i dunno but i plan to tune it to 34 hz. The JL website only calls for 2.25 cubic feet with 2 3" round ports per sub.
