which deadener did you use ?? and did you just use it on the doors and roof and gained that much ??

I used audiowrap and audio technix. I put 3 layers of it on my roof...3 layers on my doors and 3 layers on my hatch...and yes it gained me that much.

BUT.

That doesn't necessarily mean you will gain as much as I did...but you will gain.

Adding deadener makes some people gain and some people loose, but if will for sure make your system sound a hell of a lot better.

If anything id do it just for the Quality aspect getting rid of those Tiny vibrations everywhere will result in better sound quality

And there is about 90% of the time a gain

And if your gonna go with damp id honestly just hitp coleman ^the guy above me who owns audiotechnix...

I may have had a falling out with the guy but his product speaks for itself and his customer service is awesome

damp is 40mil his 60mil is TESTED to do the exact same thing but its thicker AND CHEAPER

No one knows unless you TEST it. Thats the whole point of car audio, trying **** out and seeing if it works or not. It will Sound better, but you wont know 100% what affect it will have until you try it........

The amount of SPL you gain will be inaudible. What will be audible is a drop in the noise floor which will be similar to the difference between trying to chat up a girl at a noisy bar or doing the same at a nice classy restaurant.

It'll seem louder yet an SPL mic will see little, if any, difference.
