should my stock alt be able to handle keeping charged. my stock alt is a 110 and im thinkin bout addin a few more batts but i dont wanna add to many and stress my alt.

I dont think i will ever find anyone who makes a HO alt for my vehicle. i mean i could build my own but thats another story

what vehicle you got? I ran 3 Optima red tops on a 105 amp atlernator with no bad effects, would get a little on the hot side if i played the system too long and had to charge the batts back up, additional batteries become a load on the alternator, you would be better off upgrading the alternator aswell as adding batteries

i got a 2004 mits endeavor which i may get lucky if it has the same alt as maybe a eclipse or a galant but other than im gonna have to build my own

Upgrading the alt would be best bet but you should be able to add 2 maybe 3

If you use AGM type batteries (like kinetik ect ect) it will actually be EASIER for your alt to charge than a typical wet cell.

o yea that how we roll in ohio lol i wanna eventually get one under the hood and 2 in the back. but hell i figured a 110 amp alt is actually pretty big compared to some people sayin they have 80 amp alts stock

lol 30a more isnt much diff. but yeah i have a d5100r and d3400 with my 80a alt. 1/0 grounds under the hood and 1/0 pos and neg going from the front to rear batt and then to the amp. and i can bass race for 30sec with my aq200d and voltage doesnt drop under 13.3v

i guess i should post i dont plan on doing any bass racing or anythinng of that matter i'm gonna be runnin either a Cadence TXA-1000D or a Hifonics BXi1608D to 2 type r's, 2 4 channel amps to some speakers, a carputer, 6 tvs, and lights and lil odds and ends.

i dont wanna kill my alt but its also becoming quiet a task to find a high output alt for it and most that i have seen are only 170 amp which dont seem like much specially for $300

im sure i could make a bracket and run 2 stock alts but thats seems kinda pointless if i dont have to do it
