I never had a bad eclipse head unit to date and i have had thrm from mid 90's to as soon as last year...I heard a lot of their decks are defective. Is that true.

From the research I have been doing the past few days it would be the Mcintosh or Nakamichi's, Denon's and the high end clarion/addzest units.
Word has it that Panasonic is getting out of car audio. My friend who is an installer was at work the other day and his boss called from CES and said that all the Panasonic reps were called into a room and all fired. the Pioneer Premier DEX M88 was the best SQ CD player ever made in the early 90's...it was better than the Alpine 7909
