I liked Concord back in the day...I still have an old Concord cassette player from way back somewhere in my old shed....The last car I ran it in was my Merkur XR4ti...

I had one of those too!//content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/biggrin.gif.d71a5d36fcbab170f2364c9f2e3946cb.gif

Great car, a real sleeper with that turbo 4 out of the SVO Mustang in it.

I guess I actually HAD a good one. I stumbled upon its greatness today while searching for a new unit.

I have the Sony CDX-C90 with rotary control in my closet with a display that lights up half ways the other half is dim lol.. Supposed to be a good SQ unit.. Now I have a cheapo $120 JVC.

If you're talking about just 1-DIN units, the Ural or Clarion DRZ9255 have to be on top.

For a 1-DIN transport plus processor, either the Alpine F1 line or Pioneer ODR combo, or P9 combo...

Then if you're using converted home audio gear or other high end processors, really opens up the choices for pure transports...Denon Z1, McIntosh, etc...

WOW.. Yoda fan Eh?
I think you mean Who Makes the best head units ever..

From the research I have been doing the past few days it would be the Mcintosh or Nakamichi's, Denon's and the high end clarion/addzest units.
You know that Clarion and McIntosh are pretty much the same company right? In fact the addzest units are pretty much McIntosh units inside.

Panasonic because of the features u get for ur money...
Word has it that Panasonic is getting out of car audio. My friend who is an installer was at work the other day and his boss called from CES and said that all the Panasonic reps were called into a room and all fired. I tried to find something on this through google but couldn't find anything.

the Pioneer Premier DEX M88 was the best SQ CD player ever made in the early 90's...it was better than the Alpine 7909

Easy now , there were Denon's floating around that time. //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/smile.gif.1ebc41e1811405b213edfc4622c41e27.gif
