How loud do you guys go?

Just wondering how loud you guys turn up your volume. I usually like to try and keep mine under 20( of 40). I have a JVC middle of the road deck. I was just wondering if I am being to cautious. I just don't want to turn it up too loud and mess something up. Isn't that how you get clipping and blow speakers and stuff?

What do you guys suggest with volume? How high is high enough?
