How long do these speakers last?

i mean they're expensive so they must last at least like a couple hundred years.......right. I can't imagine how long some rainbow reference components would last.

design, build, and parts quaility dependent too.

ever seen a woofer with suspension sag after 3 months and others that don't have sag after a year? the spider and surround are a moving part. moving parts wear out. like soft steel vs hard steel. both are steal, one costs a lot more but is a lot more wear resistant.

Yeah, those speakers aren't all that expensive. Good component speakers range from $200-$10000+ per set. It doesn't much matter how long they last. You'll want to upgrade within a year no matter what you buy anyway.

And you can get some great components for less than $200 as well.

To the OP, stop worrying about price and buy what sounds good to you. If you treat your drivers well and they are built half decent they shouldn't wear out before you are ready to replace them.
