how it hits

ive been wonder what excursion tells you.... i obviously know that its how far the cone can move from its peak at the top and bottom but wouldnt it help tell you how hard a subs hits? is a high or a low number more desirable? and Qts would be an indicator of how hard it hits to wouldnt it?

thanks for any help

High excision simply means I can move move air in a single stroke but it can move the air with less intensity where as some low excursion drivers rely in the intensity of the stoke rather than the movement of the air. Ideally you would want to find a mixture of both. Depending on ur goal there are many subs that will perform admirably

i want a sub that you feel not necessarily hear.... i obviously wanna be able to hear the notes and what not but i want a sub that you can feel how would i be able to find this out.... because im going to end up having to buy anything i end up getting online.... and id imagine if you know how to read the specs you should be able to have a very good idea of how it will perform
