Which model? Used to have one on my old car and it worked for six years w/ no issues. Had several extra channels to hook up accessories pretty nice for the price. The guy I sold that car to still has it and the alarm is working great after eight years.

BTW is all this talk about you being a big scammer the truth or what?

In the interest of actually answering the question, though, I would assume that it is simply the newer model of the 996 that many have (including myself) and like just fine.

If my assumption is correct, Robert, it's a rock-solid unit that should prove to be very trustworthy for you.

I gotta agree w/ Prowler here it looks pretty dam shady to me.

But w/ your alarm go ahead save yourself a few bux and get the Prestige. They are an excellent value and when it's all said and done who the hell is gonna care if it's a Viper or Prestige? Although I think it is a great alarm I think people just get hung up on the name.
