cause im having dreams of putting 1kw + on a xxx 18" tuned to like 22 htz in my house for parties

250 watts on an efficient 12" can EASILY be heard 3 houses away. 1k on an 18" will literally be heard blocks away. Bad attention. Also is your home electrical up to 1kw?

a nice car audio amp that puts out 1500 watts @ 4 ohms would probably end up costing more than that dayton plate amp

get a behringer, qsc, or dayton. Partsexpress has the dayton and behringer. Also there is a site called musiciansfriend or something like that, oh gemsound is kinda cheap power too. Those are your best bets.

i think 1kw is over kill for a house my house at school we have 2 speakers each with a 15 and a 12 and a horn tweeter or something and each is getting 250ish and it shakes shit off the walls and is pleeeenty loud

Read my post above. Get the behringer ep1500 or ep2500. Done.

I run a 15 on it and it shakes the entire house and probably my neighbors. Ep1500 is 1400 watts rms at 4 ohm. Ep2500 is 2400 watts rms at 4 ohm.

partsexpress has a bunchof plate amps onsale right now. I just got the flier. Also google buttkicker amp, it does like 1000w or something. Is it just music? Then yea 500w is fine, but if you are gonna do big subs with super low tuning, then get all the power you can
