I would port the Infinity. It still sounds just as good, but has alot better low end and is gets alot louder when ported. 1.7 total volume works good tuned to mid or low 30s.

Around $100ish (Infinity = buy one get one free, so I can sell one). Also, I can't do a ported box in my truck, not enough space (maybe if I did 2 8"s or something, lol.

not all amps are rated at 17v. only thier larger amps. like the 4000D and the 802sx ect.... and yes they are current hogs so they are only good to use if you have 20000 batteries lol. but they put out the power if u can afford to run them. not good amps for daily use. but burping they are worth it.

I have a few more questions:

1) He said the Kappa Perfect 12.1 has a "1.5 inch throwout". Does that mean it will come out 1.5 inches from the "default" position?

2) Will it matter if the sub hits the back of a seat? I've gotten mixed answers on this, so just curious what you guys think.

Gah, I have one other question. What mids would you reccomend for my truck, I can fit 5 1/4", 6x8s, and 5x7s.
