How hard is it to replace/fix rotted studs?

Well they are above the window.

Talked to my grandpa who is an expert at these things.

Shouldnt be that hard since its not load bearing, but this 2x12 is weird, so well see whatsup.

how do you figure it's not load bearing? it is an exterior wall right? how many floors is the house? also what do you have for siding? what caused the damage and has it been fixed?

Uh what?
Sorry I have no idea what you are talking about lol. Not much of a home framing guy.
i think the king studs are the studs that go all the way from floor to ceiling on each sid of the window. the trim studs are nailed on the inside of the king studs.

Someone told me it wasnt load bearing lol.

So I said that it wasnt.

Its right above a window.

Above that is the roof, which is right above me. The water gets in because the gutters are fubared (that will be fixed soon).

Siding is brick.

x2.

exterior walls are nearly always load bearing. and im assuming either brick veneer or aluminum siding, locate the leak and fix it while you are in there.

youre going to need to support the house above that section while you replace the wood, so take that into consideration.

edit, you beat me to it with the veneer, but i was right //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/tongue.gif.6130eb82179565f6db8d26d6001dcd24.gif . gutters not working properly shouldnt be making that happen. figure out why the water is getting under the shingles and fix that. and im pretty sure that is going to be load bearing.

it is a load bearing wall, but replacing one stud at a time isn't gonna hurt anything. replacing the header above the window might be a little tricky, but doable.
