How hard is it to get Sponsored?

Has anyone here ever been sponsered? How did you go about it?

Next season im going to try and take the state record in stock 1601-1800

i just have to beat 147.xx Im not sure if i can do it but i think i can

After i do that i may try and get sponsored

But this all isnt till next season

Doubt it. You might get on a team where you get lower pricing, but sponsorships are getting less and less in car audio each year. But a sponsor will usually come to you, theres not really much looking involved.

A lot of hard work and some good competition background. And just because you have a sponsor doesn't mean things are handed to you.

ya....lucky to get discounts man. full blown sponsoring comes if you're probly already kicking *** in the lanes and are kind of well known. my same dream went up in smoke recently with the rest of my car. get a decent score and be happy.

Sponsorship isnt all great sometimes. Some companies have their own set of ideas what you should and should not do, and then in one way or another you become their indirect bitch. Ive had so-so luck so far with the companies ive delt with, but ive had more problems than good for the most part. Only two sponsors that really supported me well were Low-Hz and Adassa Audio... really it comes down to the personallities and competition experience that the company itself has as much as the person competeing on their behalf.

Good example : I blew up two RD audio SPL Elite 15's that Low-hz provided for me to compete with, and Ben & Kevin shrugged it off as having a bad day at an event, and never once said another thing about it. I also blew up two DD z1's and they just laughed at me, and sent me recones for my other subs.

Good example : Adassa Audio's owner, Andrew, calls me from London and tells me he wants his amplifiers to have a strong presence in MECA Finals 06.... So I say, .... "ok, send me a couple of your biggest amps".... Two days before finals, I get two brand new 5kw amps that have been OVERNIGHTED from England at a whopping shipping cost of $560 //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/wow.gif.23d729408e9177caa2a0ed6a2ba6588e.gif

Bad example : TC sounds sends me the wrong subs, then asks me to pay for the shipping back on them, then actually asks me to pay for their R&D costs on new subwoofers that they've been supplying me with for competitions, which consequently **** anyways. Of course, did I mention to tell you the numerous times they threatened to sue me for speaking about what I honestly thought of their subs? lol.

Bad Example : Massive Audio talks big and bold over emails, and phone conversations in reference to how they want to support my endeavors and promote them....then when it comes to sending stuff as small as recones then it becomes a big logistics problem for them to send me a $30 coil. //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/eyebrow.gif.fe2c18d8720fe8c7eaed347b21ea05a5.gif Hell my photos are still on their website from 2 years ago, //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/laugh.gif.48439b2acf2cfca21620f01e7f77d1e4.gif

ive had other bad problems, but by far those the above two were the worst offenders.....but you get the good with the bad I suppose.

i love there amps the potential power turns me on..they need to send me a warrior so i can send my subs some real power...lol
