How Good Is KnuKonceptz Wire?

Ok, I have been to a few stereo shops in last few weeks talking about diff things, and both of them have noticed my wire, and said that the clad copper aluminum is not very good, and that if i ran 4ga pure copper wire, like Stinger, Kicker, ect...anything 100% copper that it would be just as good as my 1/0 Knu KLMX...Is this true? And if so, What should i use when I do like Big 3 and such

pure copper will indeed support a higher current than the copper clad however it is also far MORE expensive.
Well I know that pure copper while support higher current, but, Is like 1 run of 1/0 for my two kicker KX1200s good enough? Because like I said, it was compared to 4ga of pure copper by stereo shop, So should i swap to something else? or is this good enough? What?

that statement is not true.

alum is about 20% less efficient than copper. copper clad alum is a little better than straight alum. however if the ga. is ample to allow current to flow with acceptable or better voltage drop, who give a crap what it is made of.

Depending on how long your run is, but I would say you are fine. I would not pitch what you have, rather if you want to improve, add another run on the same stuff.

They are in the business of selling, keep that in mind.

If you were starting fresh, and the copper and alumin were within 25% 0f each other, sure go copper, but don't pitch it, unless it is thrown in my garbage.

for the majority CCA is fine.

Ive ran it and had no problems, no voltage or current slumps.

Larger setups I use 100% copper (or so the company says)

Its really up to you, its like the ethanol gasoline vs non ethanol gasoline fight. you lose performance for a lower price.

the shops are probably trying to make a sale. Of course 100% copper supports more voltage than CCA, but for what your running you should be fine.

yes pure copper is slightly better.

HOWEVER Knu makes its wire above the average size its rated for (like mentioned above) their 0 gauge is closer to 2/0.

Hold the wires together, knu 0g is thicker than stinger 0g. This makes up for the CCA in the wire, making knu basically the same (performance wise) as pure copper.
